TUSCAN SPRING RETREAT

Are you ready for an experience you will never forget?! A Shot of Ginger is going back to her her roots and inviting you all to go with her. We will be spending six days in the lovely and homely Casa Giulia, situated in the rural countryside just outside Siena. We will be working out, drawing our attention inward with yin yoga, tasting fine wine, eating fresh and delicious Italian food and seeing the breathtaking sites this part of the world has to offer. Let me take care of you, spoil you and share with you the beauty of Siena and its surroundings.

FLIGHTS

The closest airport is Pisa. Suggested flights are:
EasyJet

  • 5th May, Manchester 7:30am – Pisa 10:55am

  • 9th May, Pisa 2:05pm – Manchester 3:30pm

The sooner you book your flights the cheaper, so don’t leave it to the last-minute. They are currently about £65 return.
I will be renting a minibus and will come and pick up from Pisa on 5th May and drop you back off on 9th May. If you fly to a different airport or on a different day you will have to take a train to either Siena or Poggibonsi and I will come and pick you up from there. 

ACCOMODATION

We will all be staying in the home I grew up in, Casa Giulia, which is in a little rural village on the hills around Siena. The house is 400 years old and maintains many original features to make your stay more authentic.

  • Private Apartment with Double Bed x 1

The rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Only the apartment has a private bathroom and the rest of the rooms will be sharing the two bathrooms that are in the main house.

FOOD

All meals are included. 
One night we will go out for a pizza.
All other meals will be home cooked at Casa Giulia. Lunch will consist of salads, cold pasta dishes, nibbles and fruit. For dinner, one night we will have a barbecue out in the garden and do some wine tasting. The rest of the nights home cooked Italian meals will be served.

Please let me know if you have any dietary requirements so I accommodate your needs and think about dishes that can suit all.

SAMPLE ITINERARY

The following itinerary may be subject to change depending on the weather and how we feel each day.

Day 1 – Pick up from Pisa airport visit the leaning tower of Pisa.
              Arrival at Casa Giulia.
              Yin Yoga – Intention setting for the retreat.

Day 2 – Walk to Pernina and Cetinale.
              Outdoor high intensity workout.
              Visit San Giminiano and Volterra.

Day 3 – Visit Siena.
             Strength training at CrossFit 0577.
             Sunset Yin Yoga at Sito Transitorio.

Day 4 – Outdoor high intensity workout.
              Visit the Castrello di Brolio with wine degustation.
              Spa evening at Terme San Giovanni.

Day 5 – Goodbyes and drop off at Pisa Airport.
